Working within communications requires a number of tools, which may be either used separately or in combination, depending on the client’s needs and objectives. As PR is defined as targeted communication, either on a narrow or broad scale, the message’s objective normally dictates the choice of media.

Successful PR demands a thorough understanding of how the media work. Our team consists of journalists and experienced PR consultants, each of them with specific competencies and areas of expertise. Our journalists have experience from both the written and electronic media and are in frequent contact with a very wide range of journalists.

Journalism

Editorial papers, magazines or newsletters have far greater “read value” and credibility than a traditional advertising leaflet or flyer. WATERFRONT works closely with its clients to communicate the desired profile and message. Concept development, design and production are done in cooperation with our creative department. We believe a journalistic product to be a strong communication tool, both internally and externally, and a product well suited for corporate profiling and sales promotion.

Communication Strategy – Where is my company going?

Often clients have vast ideas and visions, however, equally often the expertise to develop, execute and implement those visions are not found in-house and need to be brought in.

WATERFRONT delivers the necessary expertise and executes upon client’s communication wishes and needs.

Where clients seek dialogue regarding strategic direction, WATERFRONT can initiate internal processes where all wishes, needs and input will be considered and a communication strategy distilled. This includes recommendations for implementation, regardless whether the client or WATERFRONT executes the activities.

Crisis Management

A crisis situation can arise unexpectedly. It may be internal challenges or a crisis situation where the wider stakeholder community is involved and a cohesive communication strategy is needed in order to address the critical crisis issues. Crisis management is a discipline, which demands insight, overview and appreciation of all means of communication and trigger points - especially when dealing with the media.

Investor Relations

Communicating public listings, annual accounts and investor relations is a specialised communication category. Many ”rules of engagement” must be complied with as bad or incorrect communication can affect the stock price and in some circumstances led to legal prosecution. Finesse, accuracy and financial insight are needed when communicating financial information.

WATERFRONT’s experienced team is fully comprehensive in this area, enabling us to undertake almost any assignment within financial communication and Investor Relations.
